The 2025-26 Berkeley Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association (BCLAA) Scholarship Program is sponsored by an amazing group of individual donors, foundations, and CLAA regional chapters. Thanks to their contributions, BCLAA Scholarships will support undergraduate and graduate Chicanx Latinx students at Cal who demonstrate need for tuition, books, equipment, and living expenses.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need and merit. A needs assessment and overall financial aid package will be evaluated by BCLAA. Scholarship awards are based upon the following primary factors:
- Matriculation at UC Berkeley with undergraduate or graduate standing
- Financial need
- Commitment to the Latinx community
- Leadership potential
- Exceptional academic and professional potential
Some, but not all funds, are restricted by certain donors to students meeting other criteria. These include but are not limited to:
- Student in the school of public health, or planning a career in public health
